Overview:
The Space Expedition Simulator, as its name called, is a simulator of a space expedition process. There’s not much interaction in this game, just relax and give the game AI some time and see how it spread civilization across the entire universe through colonies, expedition teams, and freighter fleets!
Control:
Hold and drag the Right Mouse Button to look around
WASD for camera movement
LShift to accelerate the camera
Game AI:
The entire game is controlled by AI, there are three types of them:
The Freighters are disposable vessels that are rapidly built in the dock of all colonies with a prosperity level above 1. Their sole mission is to run cargo between the destination and their home colonies. Their destinations were designated by the colony upon spawn.
The Expedition Ships are smarter vessels, they play the most important role of the colonization. They don't carry cargo and their number is limited, but unlike the disposable freighters, their AI lifespan is infinite. These ships travel around the universe to expand colonies. They will try to colonize two adjacent planets to ensure a trade route before setting out for a destination far away, thus speeding up the expansion.
The Colonies are bases created by the civilization. All colonies have four levels of prosperity, this could be observed through the number of structures inside the colony (or the completeness of the ring in the case of a gas planet). For less developed colonies, they prioritize building freighters and sending them to trade with the most valuable (calculated by distance and prosperity) colony. As they become more developed, they will start to prioritize helping out other less developed colonies rather than the efficiency of their own growth.
